拾荒老婦
從來都不會歧視老人家，但看見一些不平的事，始終有點礙眼。
日前經過彌敦道一間大型藥房，看見一位老婦坐在地上，很用心地將拾回來的紙皮弄至濕遍，想必是希望紙皮可以重一點，賣多點錢。
我覺得她的行為有點問題，既然得到大型連鎖店免費給與棄置的紙皮，應該感到知足和感恩才是，現在還在人家門外做著這些貪心的行為，真是有點那個。她用一些旁門左道去呃秤，難道別人不知道嗎？別人知道了，還會給她十足的價錢嗎？心中滿是疑問。
上天造人可算公平，當你每次用心的做事，祂都會給你回報，成功的給你成果；失敗的給你教訓，從積極的看，始終是正面。但上天決不希望你用一些旁門左道去騙取你不應得的東西，西諺說得好：Easy Come, easy go! 不義之財容易流失。
生活或許受盡委屈，也用不著去欺騙別人，我認為老婦的焦點是放錯了，與其做些旁門左道去呃秤，何不勤快些去執多些紙皮，起碼可以心安理得一點。賺到金錢之外，還贏得別人的尊重。

雄輝餅店
總是覺得，麵包和雪糕有點相似，氣泡越多，越不好吃。
不要以為麵包易做，簡簡單單的一磅方包，便會顯出做餅師傅的功架，市面上數元一磅的方包，很多都不合格，不是太粗「鞋」，便是冇麥味，尤其是大公司嘉頓那隻用透明膠紙包裝，在超市發售的一款，更加難食不堪，很難理解，一間造麵包做了多年的餅店可以造出如此成績，造了多年都沒有進步。
以前在豉油街有一間餅店（好像叫嘉年娜）賣的方包十分好味，既香口、密度又夠，不用加牛油、果醬都可以吃上半磅，就算是隔夜亦不覺難吃，這是我生平吃過最好的麵包，可惜最終消失了。
幾經辛苦，給我在旺角找到一間比較像樣的麵包，雖然及不上嘉年娜，但起碼質素不俗，有口感又黏口如綿，價錢卻平得出奇，只售五塊半，地方比較隱閉點，在廣東道1005號，寶號叫「雄輝餅店」，他們另有一間店在福華街，大家不妨試試。
以這樣的價錢，吃到這樣的級數，我覺得是物超所值。不要告訴我，那些十幾二十元一磅的好吃些，價錢不同，便不用比了。
康山麥記服務倒退
今時今日的餐廳食肆通常都講究裝修，設計美觀，唯康山麥當勞似乎反其道而行，越裝修越差。
經過數月裝修的麥記，出來的效果竟然比不上之前，未裝修之前，餐廳給人一種典雅美觀的感覺，現在就顯得平平無奇，座位比以前還迫狹，中間放一長大長檯，給人一種「排排坐，食粉粿」的味道。
最不濟的，還是服務方面。已前的服務員接單，取食物一腳踢，跟單很快很準確，現在卻不是，接單是一個人，取食物又是另一班人，照我所見，後勤的人員明顯跟不上，一些很簡單的訂單，也做得十分緩慢，等候的時間比未改革前還要耐。
最不堪的，是餐廳間了一角給McCafe，賣飽的櫃位比以前更狹窄，櫃位與櫃位之間還加上一條伸縮欄杆，人客要排隊買單，落完單又要排隊取食物，「未食餐已排餐飽」，當你取到食物，又要捧著食物，在兩條隊之間「捐」出來。若果你不為意，落單時排了取食物那邊，就更加白等一場。
以前就簡單得多，落了單後後站在櫃位等食物便可以，麥記這個安排簡直是將個程序複雜化，只顧自己，忽略顧客。難道他們以為顧客愛上了排隊嗎？他們不知道，後勤的員工接不上，變成站在櫃位面前的，等食物的客人比落單的多很多，永遠都密擠擠，看見都想掉頭走！
美國人可能以為，櫃位多，必定生意多，其實又未必，你做到迫迫狹狹，客人看見已經頭赤，排多一、兩次便覺得討厭。還是日本人的吉野家做得聰明一點，落單的櫃位不太多，讓客人有多些空間，而後勤方面也做得很明快，俐落。顧客吃得開心，自然多些光顧。
